poorly marked trails

lack of assistance

The trails were so poorly marked, I almost lost my elderly father on a steep path. And of course, I had to trek up the mountain in a 4x4, which I expected they would offer complimentary. Just when I thought about giving them a nice review, I simply couldn’t, truly awful.

would not hesitate to return there

Staying in the Sunset cabin was so chill. The balcony was spacious, perfect for birdwatching. The amenities like the kitchenette and comfy bed were great. Breakfast in the common area was tropical and delicious. We even had our own private entrance to enjoy the views!

The lodge provides outstanding transportation assistance up the mountain.

Unfortunately, the trail information was quite lacking. Most trails were poorly marked, which was challenging for us. We found ourselves on a very steep trail that was almost unsafe for my elderly father.

This was just a commendable fit for a short stay in Turrialba with very good value for money. I was really grateful for the round trip service provided, making my trek up the mountain much easier. Make sure to rent a 4x4 to navigate those challenging roads safely.
